…God might take you round the back and show you the gadgetry that keeps the world running.

Sort of like WIlly Wonka, prescription without all the annoying kids.

Only hitch is, you can’t tell anybody. Imagine that. Finally knowing the truth and not being able to tell!

Keyser duly gave his word. But he didn’t say anything about pictures!

Welcome back! Long time, no see. Busy with all those lawyers, huh? Those out-of-court settlements must be really in to the reserves at La Banca del Vaticano, no? Oh, well, who ever said doing the work of the Lord was cheap? Or the work of Beelzebub, at any rate…

    Rob:

No, no. Brush up on your Bible! The Lord is more of a Rube Goldberg sort of divinity….

Fortunately the Italian tax payer is most generous and his/her contributions help us to impose the doctrines that Europeans don’t want to follow themselves on poorer Catholics in countries where they have no choice but to obey.

Oh, sorry. That’s strictly between you and me, right?

So a little non-consensual buggery (all right, rather a lot of non-consensual buggery) won’t stop God’s work!

    Go in peace

Well, it seems that charity doesn’t in fact start at home!

That’s strictly between you and me, right?

Mum’s the word! Anything said in the comments section of the Lair is strictly confidential. (Or at any rate, not many people are likely to read it. ;-))

    a little non-consensual buggery… won’t stop God’s work!

That’s odd. Keyser was under the impression that according to you it was God’s work!
